My fascination with elaborately beaded vintage costume jewelry inspires me to layer glass beads, antiqued brass stampings and filigree, and other objects onto brass bases to create richly textured pins and necklaces. Recent experiments include incorporating uniquely shaped bases into my designs, opening up unlimited possibilities of what wired, embroidered or woven beads can become.
I have been inspired by color, nature, literature and period design to expand beyond the themes of vintage jewelry. My jewelry is thematic and tells the story of each idea that inspired the design.
